Consumer First Roofing (James Green) is tremendous!

I had a lot of issues that had been ignored for too many years. James' team came out in a timely manner, came back with a reasonable quote for recommended repairs, and then came back to do the repairs as promised. The full job took three people two days.

The team did a professional job on several areas:
- Reseal dozens of windows with building-code approved sealant (ASTM C920 Class 25). This is more expensive than most "caulk" that "handymen" use, but, it is the only good answer for long term care of your home.
- Repair where the metal roof meets the house brick wall by resealing all areas.
- Add flashing where previous contractors had failed to properly install. [Two different kinds of flashing, although I don't really understand the difference.]
- Repair Asphalt shingles and underlayers where previous contractors had inadequately repaired the area earlier.

This job cost more than I anticipated; however, I'm glad that I paid for a professional team to do the full job. I have confidence that these repairs will last as long as the current roof.

James Green was recommended by Henson Lumber; and, although they mainly work in the South Carolina Area, they support the Rutherford County, North Carolina Area.

Finally, I really wanted a contractor that was licensed and insured, and, of course, they are.

My house got hit by lightning right after Christmas and I was referred to Mr. Green by another roofing contractor. I am sure glad I was because I have never met another man that cared more about making sure I was taken care of before. Did everything he said and even more. If I could give 100 stars I would. I'm very thankful to have met this wonderful man!!

James was quick to respond, priced competitively, and here when he said he’d be. My job wasn’t huge, but James treated it like it was the most important thing he was doing. I love that kind of caring professionalism. He get’s my business every time from here on!

I can’t say enough good things about this company. The professionalism was outstanding. The crews arrived in 18*weather and worked till 6pm. Back at 10 am the next day worked till 7:30pm. Clean up was perfect. If you need a roof or have any roofing problems call James Green at Consumer First Roofing. He’s the best I have ever dealt with. His crew was awesome, polite and professional.

I can't say enough good things about my experience. It was a small repair job from wind damage but I didn't want to spring a leak. I contacted James and he came out the next day to give me an estimate. The work was done within 24 hours and no mess left behind. He even sent me pictures of finished work.
His rates are reasonable and work is perfect. And best of all, everything fixed before the torrential rain.
All of this took place on New Year's Eve weekend. That is a caring man who knew this old lady was worried. I would recommend James and his business for all your roofing needs

We had a leak, went through our insurance and they only covered a part of the roof. We got an estimate from Consumer Roofing and when the money came in from the insurance company we had another emergency come up and had to delay the repair on the roof. We were finally able to get the major leak fixed a couple months later and James found a match for our shingles after a long hunt. His ambitious worker removed the old roof, fixed our valley and put new shingles on all by himself in two days. No mess to clean up. He took care of it all!!! Highly highly recommend this company for your roofing repairs!!!

I am extremely pleased with the roof replacement provided by Consumer First Roofing. James came out the day I called him to inspect for hail damage. Came back when we had appointment with Ins adjuster. Within 2 days had all the materials, only took 1 1/2 days to replace, hardest working crew I have ever seen. Disposed of all debris, cleanup was immaculate. Reasonable cost and James was a great guy to work with.

I can’t thank James enough for what he did for us. We initially were denied from the insurance company, knowing we had hail damage as previously told by three other roofing companies. We asked other roofing companies to get us some pictures and send a letterhead to the insurance company, stating that there was significant damage. No company was willing to get those pictures or take the time to write a letterhead to help our case other than James Green. Not only did he do those things, he also met with the adjuster after getting an appeal to take other look at our damage. Long story short, we finally were able to get the claim approved and we we’re compensated for the entire roof cost. We couldn’t be more pleased with the customer service and the final results of our new roof. Give Consumer First Roofing a call, you will not be disappointed.

Extremely pleased with the work Consumer First Roofing did today! James and his amazing team took care of us from removing our solar panels & old roof, repairing several areas, new roof put on, reroofed our outbuilding and putting solar panels back up. Checked on our water leaks after a storm and repaired all potential areas around the chimney.. Eventually, with his help, we realized it wasn't a roof leak but a foundation leak. Very helpful and great to work with!

Once I placed a call inquiring about a quote, the owner, James Green, was super responsive and was out to the house later that day to give us a quote. He was the only one who went up on the roof to inspect the damage for himself instead of taking the insurance company's word. His price was super competitive and the job was completed earlier than the estimated date. The crew that replaced our roof was very polite, hard working, and respectful of our property. They arrived and began work at a decent hour...not at 5:00 am like the company that did my neighbor's roof. My house took 2 days to complete and the crew did a fabulous cleanup after each days work. They left between 5:00 & 5:30 pm each day. That says a lot about how the owner values his employees. Again, the neighbor used a big company and those guys worked from 5:00 am - after 9:00 pm and had to come back the next day to clean up. Our entire property was very clean when the job was complete. I was concerned about roofing material getting into our pool. One of the crew kept his eye on the pool and to my knowledge, not a single thing accidentally fell into the pool. The level of communication from James was top notch. He was quick to text back when we had questions (and we had a lot having never replaced our roof). James is one of those people who just has a good personality and you feel very at ease speaking with him. James was an absolute pleasure to work with.

The go to roofer! Did a great job and had the best price.

We chose Consumer First Roofing after calling 7 different companies to give us a quote for a new roof. It was an easy choice, they had the best price and a good guarantee for their product. Their workmanship was top notch too. James Green went above and beyond within minutes of meeting him. I pointed out an area where we had a leak, he insisted on putting caulk on it even tho I told him I had other folks still coming to give quotes. He had his crew replace a rotted board on our house and closed up some areas where squirrels had been entering our attic. We appreciated him doing these things for us that had nothing to do with our roof, says a lot for his character! He truly does put the consumer first! HIGHLY SATISFIED! I had some storm damage to my roof and James was the only contractor who actually answered the phone when I called around. James was great at communicating via phone, email and text! He offered help when working with insurance and when I was finally able to get back with him, he got to my repairs within just a few days. Excellent Roofer for both residential and commercial. I first met owner James on insurance work on my home's roof last year, and this year on a commercial flat deck roof on a building I own. His quote and the quality of work on my building was much better than other quotes, and the professionalism of his his work is outstanding...in other words, I would call Consumer First Roofing first.

I had Consumer First Roofing replace a 20 year old, 3-tab shingled roof on my home with an architectural shingled roof. James was very prompt about addressing my questions before the install. He and his crew were also very professional during the installation and I am very happy with the results! James Green is a rarity in the construction industry. He replaced my roof effortlessly and in a timely fashion; he was engaged with his crew and they did an exquisite job on a new designer shingle (slate pattern) - very even and straight. The crew took the time to help me locate any and all rotten wood on my project so they could replace it - never got impatient with me. James will shake your hand and look you in the eye when he's talking to you. When he promises you something, he delivers! Enjoyed working with him - he and the crew go the extra mile!

I am new to Spartanburg area and let me tell you that I called a lot of roofing companies and got CRAZY high quotes.
James came out and quoted a fair price on Thursday. He and his guys came out 4th July 2015 and finished my roof in 1 day!! WOW!
The quality of their work is top notch! They cleaned the debris and old shingles off my property same day. Very professional and trustworthy period.
